Smithers Ski Club

The Smithers Ski Club has been training athletes for thirty years thanks to the tireless dedication of parents and coaches we have produced many provincial and national team members. At its height the club boasted thirty alpine members, twelve of which were racing at the elite FIS level and burning up the province.
The Nancy Greene program is one of the largest in the province. With strong support from Hudson Bay Mountain and the reduced pass rates the Nancy Greene program is the ideal way to be introduced to the sport.

As a professionally directed racing program, the Smithers Ski Club strives to promote the sports of alpine skiing and snowboarding by enabling all if its members the opportunity to reach their full potential.

SSC Objectives:

• Promote Sportsmanship
• Promote competition in a fun and safe environment
• Introduce atheletes to all aspects of skiing, snowboarding, fitness and nutrition
• Provide progressive training opportunities for all levels of atheletes
• Produce positive, confident and determined individuals
• Provide open and continuous communication between atheletes, parents, coaches, executive members, coordinators and club representatives
• Strive for commitment and excellence
