How to get to Smithers, BC

The community of Smithers, BC and the surrounding areas can be accessed by vehicle, railway and by air.

By Vehicle: Travel west on the Yellowhead Trans Canada Hwy (#16) from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada straight on to the Village of Smithers.

Travel east on the Yellowhead Hwy (#16) from Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada to Terrace and from there, continue on to Smithers, BC.

Connecting to Hwy #16 when arriving from the north of British Columbia travel Hwy #97 south from Dawson Creek. Connecting to Hwy 16 from the south of the province travel north along Hwy #97 from Hope, BC (east of Vancouver BC).

By Air: Smithers Regional Airport services selected airlines and charter planes.

By Rail: VIA Rail stops and services Smithers BC., Canada arriving from Prince George and Prince Rupert, B.C.
